How is the test conducted? Does it require fasting?
The process is simple and quick. It requires only a standard 3-4ml blood draw, which is sent to our lab for genetic extraction and genome-wide genotyping. No fasting or special preparation is required.
What conditions are covered under the Men’s and Women’s Genetic panels?
Using advanced Polygenic Risk Scoring (PRS), these panels identify inherited risks for major cancers (including colon, lung, liver, breast, and prostate) as well as lifestyle conditions (such as heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes).
What does the Genetic Nutrition Panel cover?
The Nutrition Panel analyzes how your specific genes influence your diet and wellness. It provides actionable insights into your vitamin and mineral absorption, metabolism, food sensitivities (like salt or trans fats), and weight management tendencies.
Is this a diagnostic test?
No. NURA’s Genetic Screening is a preventive tool designed to measure genetic susceptibility. It does not diagnose any current illness, but rather identifies potential risks so you and your doctor can focus on early prevention.
